What our interns say about ispace

Emiko Pope

System Design &
Mission Operations Intern

What attracted me to ispace was the mission and vision for the future of the Earth and Moon. It is not often that humans get to explore new parts of our universe or be at the forefront of a new industry. The unique thing that I experience and I feel it’s one of the greatest strengths of ispace is that it pools together a stunning amount of international talent. This is especially obvious during lunch time, where we talk about everything from my coworker’s PhDs to stories from their home countries in Argentina, Spain, Brazil, India, Japan, and beyond!

Emma Topolcsik

Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) intern

I come from an aerospace background in university, and my dream job has always been to work on interplanetary missions that have a positive impact on humanity. I saw this as an opportunity to work on a mission that is pioneering the role of private companies in the space industry. Aside from the abundance of technical skills I have strengthened in my four months here and realizing my passion for GNC, I have learned that I absolutely love a multicultural work environment. I knew that working for ispace would surround me with ambitious and intelligent professionals, but I didn’t anticipate the reality of the cultural melting pot I was about to be placed in. Every day I learn something new, beyond the job description!

Hinata Sekito

Legal and Compliance Intern

Matthieu Charnay

Avionics intern and Guidance Navigation and Control intern

I was captivated by its ambition and what it offered to teach me. ispace is a company that dares shoot for the Moon. It incarnates this millennia-long dream of humanity. I wanted to be a part of that. My crewmates encourage my input—I’ve felt listened to and like my inputs had value. My favorite memory is from the M2 landing event on June 6, 2025. I volunteered to help welcome international guests and assisted with hosting the French Embassy representative. That experience showed me that engineers can also play a role in international collaboration, bridging technical and diplomatic worlds. This was an unexpected and very rich experience that I would never have thought possible.
