Code of Conduct for Research Activities Using Public Research Funds

The Company shall require all Members involved in the administration and management of public research funds to comply with the following standards of conduct:

  1. (1) Comply with applicable laws and regulations, the rules of funding agencies, and the Company’s internal rules.
  2. (2) When spending public research funds, confirm the relevance to the research purpose, necessity, reasonableness of the amount and content, and that the transaction or activity actually took place.
  3. (3) Prepare and retain objective supporting records to ensure that expenditures can be verified after the fact.
  4. (4) If misuse or suspected misuse of public research funds arises, respond promptly and fairly without concealing it.

Our company has established regulations concerning the prevention of and response to research misconduct in research projects funded by public research funds allocated by the government and independent administrative agencies. In accordance with these regulations, the comapny appropriately operates and manages such research under the following framework.
